I have probably purchased around 40 pickleball paddles on Amazon to write my article covering the best pickleball paddles on Amazon, so I knew I needed to purchase and review the YVmove pickleball paddle that commands an insane 4.9 Amazon rating based on 500+ reviews.

I’ll start with first impressions, playability, cost considerations, and whether I would recommend the YVmove pickleball paddle to a friend.

Also, in September 2025, there’s an insanely good deal on Amazon for what I believe is a better paddle than the YVmove Storm. It’s the Joola Agassi Edge pickleball paddle. Firstly, this paddle is the cheapest I’ve ever seen this paddle and in my head to head match between Joola Edge and Vatic Pro Prism Flash, Joola Edge won everytime.

First Impressions

Firstly, there are 3 options you can choose for the YVmove Storm 007 pickleball paddlem including a T700 + 12k carbon fiber, a T700 carbon fiber and a kevlar option.

I opted for the T700 carbon fiber paddle, and my first impressions were a good one. The paddle came in a decent box, with a paddle cover, and a couple of other accessories.

I always appreciate when a paddle comes with additional accessories. Here’s the look of the paddle:

The paddle felt fine, but to be honest, the grip reminded me of a really cheap Amazon paddle’s grip. Here’s a side view of the paddle.

I weighed the paddle, and it weight 8.5 ounces. This is quite a heavy paddle.

And, this was a bit of the first disappointing factor considering that the website stated that the paddle was 8.0 ounces.

I liked the first impressions, but did not like the paddle’s weight compared to what the website listed. That said, let’s talk about playability as that’s most important.

Playability

In terms of playability, I thought that the YVmove pickleball paddle was okay in terms of spin, but control and power are still too be determine.

Control

Firstly, in my opinion, control is most important. When I played with my YVmove Storm 007, I started the round with my Joola Ben Johns CFS 16mm pickleball paddle which is a fantastic control paddle.

I thought that the paddle had okay control, but I quickly noticed the difference that it didn’t match the Joola’s control. My partner also noticed unfortunately.

That said, in the second game, I felt that the paddle was better in terms of control.

Spin

The YVmove paddle had decent grit, so I expect that this paddle could provide ample spin. I do not know if the paddle has texture grit that will wear over time or whether the grit will last.

That said, on my high spin knuckle serve, I was able to really twist the ball to the right. I would not compare this to a top spin paddle, but it was good enough to throw my opponents off guard.

Power

The YVmove pickleball paddle had decent power. I didn’t get any compliments for power like I did for the top power paddles that I own, but it was fine. I thought I had decent power on serves and drives.

I would argue this paddle is attempting to be more of a control paddle that a power paddle.

Cost Considerations

.In terms of pricing, the YVmove pickleball paddle, the T700 you can find around the $75 mark, but the prices changes, so you may want to check the price below.

The kevlar and 12k carbon fiber option appears to be around $30 more.

Amazon Alternatives to YVmove

I chose the YVmove after comparing it to another top rated Tenvina Amazon pickleball paddle that I found incorrectly advertises that it’s USAP approved.

That said, here are some Amazon alternatives that I love.

1. Doctor Pickleball Surgical Control 20mm Paddle

I’ve really loved the control this Doctor Surgical Control pickleball paddle gives me. To test its performance, I played a series of games against a friend with a 4.0 DUPR rating, starting with a $10 Amazon paddle (lost 11-6), then an $80 carbon fiber one (barely won 12-10), and next my high-end Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS ($150–$200), which felt solid and led to an 11-8 win. But in the final game, using the Doctor Surgical paddle, I had my best performance of the day, winning 11-3.

The 20mm thickness gives me the precision and control I need, though the thicker grip may suit medium to larger hands best. After being out of stock, it’s now back on sale for under $50, and it’s easily my top pick over all the others I tried.

2. Juciao Spin 1.0 Pickleball Paddle

After hearing so much buzz about the Juciao Spin 1.0 paddle on forums, I had to try it out, and it definitely lived up to the hype. For under $100, it comes with a quality paddle cover and grip tape, and right out of the box, the design impressed me with its clean look, large sweet spot, and a grip perfect for two-handed backhands.

On the court, the 16mm thermoformed unibody paddle with foam-injected walls delivered excellent control and consistency. The raw T700 carbon fiber face creates serious spin—my knuckle serves, slices, and topspin shots felt effortless, and in a 1v2 match against two 4.0-4.25 DUPR players, I pulled off an 11-7 win thanks to the paddle’s grip and precision.

It offers solid power, but where it really shines is spin and control, making it a standout for spin-focused players.

Would I Recommend the YVmove Pickleball Paddles to a friend?

I am not sure whether I would recommend the YVmove pickleball paddle to a friend. From a playability perspective, I thought the paddle did fine.

I would argue that the paddle had some similarities to a $100+ pickleball paddle. That said, I did not like that my paddle was 8.5 ounces when Amazon quotes this paddle as 8.0 ounces.

In addition, I didn’t love the grip. It felt very similar to the cheap Amazon pickleball paddle south of $20.
