I couldn’t be more excited about what I received in the mail today from the Luzz pickleball team. For a while now, I was wondering whether Luzz would come out with a Luzz Inferno 2 with updated grit and technology for one of my favorite paddles, the Luzz Inferno.

In the last 2 weeks, that question was answered.

Luzz pickleball sent me the Luzz Inferno 2 paddle before the official release, and I wanted to share with you the first look at the paddle, provide the release date, what I know about cost, and how the Luzz Inferno 2 will compare to the other Luzz paddles.

The First Look

I love how Luzz provides a premium unboxing experience. It just feels premium.

The first thing I noticed about the paddle right out of the box was the updated grit. I took so many pictures to show you just how much the paddle face felt like sandpaper.

Please note that similar to the Vapor Power 2 and J6CR Crystal Blue, the Luzz Inferno 2 is also UPA-A certified.

Look at just how good this pickleball paddles looks.

I also like how Luzz has a different design on both sides. Here’s the other side. I love how the word Luzz almost fades in the black background,

The side view has this very beautiful multi color display of white, gold and black. It just looks premium.

Release Date

The official release date of the Luzz Inferno 2 is on August 14th, 2026. That’s only a fe days away, and I’ll plan to add how the paddle compares to the other Luzz Inferno paddles in my review article that I will release on the actual release date.

Cost Considerations

The Luzz Inferno 2 will retail at $239 before the discount code, but you can use the code BEPICKLEBALLER for 15%, which takes this paddle down to $203.15.

I believe that is a strong value for a premium paddle that has so much new technology and new grit that feels like sandpaper.

In my next article, I will cover the biggest question which is how will the Luzz Inferno 2 play compared to the other Luzz paddles with the new grit.

How Will Luzz Inferno 2 Compare To Other Luzz Inferno Paddles?

I will start playing with the Luzz Inferno 2 tomorrow, but here’s a picture of the Luzz Inferno 2 next to the Luzz Inferno, the Luzz Inferno Frozen and the Luzz Tornazo. As you can see, the new Luzz Inferno 2 is amazing. I also wanted to include some of my Luzz review articles if you’re interested with how the other Luzz Inferno paddles played.

Here are my favorite Luzz Inferno and Tornazo pickleball paddle review articles to date.
