You are considering pickleball and you want to get the best valued pickleball set with a net, so let’s cover the best options based on cost, playability, durability, and setup time. I’ll also cover the net, marker, ball, bag and paddle quality in each set.

In this article, we will focus on the complete package of what you need to start playing pickleball tomorrow on your own home court, but I will caveat that many sets with nets have very poor quality balls and paddles, so I’ll also add what I would say is the “best DIY pickleball set with net”.

Also, if you want just a net, check out my best portable pickleball nets that I did last year. This article will include the latest and greatest, but that article still has good information.

Let’s get started with best overall, best DIY, and then best budget pickleball sets with net.

Best Overall

I wanted to provide you the best overall option as I want you to have a great experience in pickleball and wooden paddles tend to just have such bad playability that you may not like the game just because of that.

These options are slightly pricier, so if you have a budget, you may thank me later. Firstly, the Srikel pickleball set with net is incredible as it takes under 5 minutes to setup and around 2 minutes to take down.

Most pickleball nets with sets take around 5-10 minutes to setup, and are quite annoying meaning you have to use the instructions every time as it’s not intuitive which pieces go where. That’s not the case with the Srikel net that has one page that you do not need to use after the first time.

The Srikel net is around 3-5 pieces total, and the net quality and durability is very high. In addition in late 2025, Srikel came out with a new option that has even more stability.

In terms of cost, the Srikel net retails at $199, but with the code bepickleballer, you will get this entire setup for just ~$175. Let’s talk about the cost of paddles, markers and balls though to get you a final cost.

Now, I know this also does not come with paddles, balls, or markers, so I would argue that the Sacinet T700 carbon fiber pickleball paddle is a decent paddle option for around $10, and if you have budget, check out the best paddles under $50.

In terms of balls, check out the X-40s which are the best pickleball balls, and these markers will do just fine.

Let’s go through the metrics.

  • Net Quality: Great
  • Marker Quality: Good
  • Ball Quality: Good
  • Bag Quality Good
  • Paddle Quality: Good

Approximate total cost: 2 paddles = $217, 4 paddles = $239

Best DIY

The Bagail pickleball set with net takes the top DIY spot in 2026 with it’s affordability and the durability and playability of the net, including the other features the paddles comes with. One of the best features I will discuss later is the cost.

Here’s the picture of what is in the bag, including a bag and 4 balls and a carrying net for the balls. Please note that this set with net does not come with paddles, but I’ll address that later.

In addition, check out how the image below how this net looks when it’s been assembled (source). It does not look or feel cheap like many other brands out there.

Now, this pickleball set with net is often under $75, but again, it does not come with paddles, but that is okay because most paddle sets are terrible that come with sets, so I’ll throw in decent carbon fiber paddles that won’t break your budget that will be much better than play with the normal paddles sets comes with.

In terms of paddles, check out the Sacinet T700 carbon fiber pickleball paddle. You can get 2 of these for under $25, and 4 of these for under $50. This is a much better paddle as it uses carbon fiber, which is the best pickleball paddle material. These paddles are still not amazing, but will play much better than some poor quality wood or fiberglass paddles. Here’s a picture of the paddle.

If those paddles sell out, check out the Roore Carbon Fiber Gen 1 paddle under $10. I have owned 3 Roore Carbon Fiber paddles, and each are high quality and good value. These markers will do just fine.

Let’s go through the metrics.

  • Net Quality: Good
  • Marker Quality: Good (here)
  • Ball Quality: Bad
  • Bag Quality Good
  • Paddle Quality: Good (here)

Approximate total cost: 2 paddles = $103, 4 paddles = $125

Best Budget

The Tyrsen pickleball paddle set with net is the best budget option in 2026. In 2026, they have two options of paddles with either a wooden paddle option or the fiberglass paddle option.

Here’s the picture of what you will receive albeit their paddle design has changed over time.

Next, let’s talk about the paddle quality as the wooden paddles are terrible quality, but the fiberglass options that are slightly more money may not be much better.

I believe I tried using these paddles for all of about 10 minutes, and I could not last much longer.

Let’s go through the metrics.

  • Net Quality: Good
  • Marker Quality: Good
  • Ball Quality: Bad
  • Bag Quality Okay
  • Paddle Quality: Terrible

Approximate total cost: 4 wooden paddles = $110, 4 paddles = $128

Which Should You Choose?

In my opinion, the best option would be the DIY pickleball set with net because you can get quality materials at a low cost when purchasing things separately.

That said, if you want the all-in package, then Tyrsen set is not bad. And if you want a good price and value, check out Bagail’s net.
