You are looking for a pickleball set with net, and you have come to the right price.
One of the biggest surprises I found when researching pickleball portable nets is that some nets have the exact same material, just branded differently.
Check these almost “twin” portable nets out.
In the bay area, California, we do not have enough pickleball nets, so I have had to purchase multiple portable pickleball nets to find the best one.
When I was researching, I stumbled across articles such as “Top 10 Pickleball Nets of 2024”, but I didn’t really get the vibe from those articles that anyone actually tried the nets. It felt more like “click on my links to give me money”, so I wanted to actually find my favorite nets.
For example, one of the worst pickleball nets I tested was in another blog’s top list.
So, I put together this ranking system and tested many different nets:
- Playability – How well does it work
- Setup – How easy is it to setup and takedown
- Cost – How affordable is it in relation to playability and setup
- Durability – Will it last?
- Other reviews – How well does it rank on Amazon and does it have fake reviews?
As I am somewhat frugal, I always keep cost in mind, so my best pickleball portable nets are on the less expensive side, but I do highlight one net if you have a higher budget. Also, some of these nets provide court markers, but I would argue that none of these court markers are the best court marker line kits.
1. Best Overall Professional Portable Pickleball Net
I recently got my hands on the A11n professional pickleball net, and the net blew me away.
I had previously tried the A11n portable net, and loved it, so I had high expectations.
Thankfully, it didn’t just meet them—it exceeded them!
The playability is fantastic, feeling just like a permanent net at my local athletics club. Adjusting the net tension was simple with the hand winch. It’s sturdy, with a heavy-duty frame and high-quality wheels that make moving it easy.
While it takes a bit longer to set up (around 1 to 1.5 hours), the durability and ease of use make it worth every penny. At $199.99, it’s a great deal, and I’m confident it’ll last for years.
I loved it so much I even cleared space to store it on the side of my house.
The only consideration is that setup is more complex than other portable options, but the quality more than makes up for it. Plus, with a solid warranty, I feel secure in my investment.

Let’s next look at the best value portable pickleball net.
2. Best Value Pickleball Portable Net
When considering each of the 5 components above, I found that the A11N 22ft Portable Pickleball Net System provided the most value including the above components. See my full review here.
I’m amazed as well that the A11N sports team also allows to stack the bepickleballer discount code when the net is already on sale.
Firstly, let’s chat about the things that I really liked.
In terms of playability, I liked multiple things about this net. Firstly, it does not waiver when you hit the ball against the middle part of the net. Second, I appreciate when the pickleball balls go under the net when you try to go under the net. The setup does not have wheels, but I found that moving the net from the middle post was easy enough.
Thirdly, I thought that the setup was easy enough. When traveling recently, I decided to take the portable net because of the ease of setup. It seriously is so easy to get setup.
For example, the process was 5 steps, but the guide was simple to follow.
Next, the price point is at $99.99, which I found quite reasonable for this setup.
In terms of durability, I liked that the net and bag itself felt much more durable than other nets in the similar price range.
The Tyrsen net came with markers, wooden paddles, and balls, but I would rather have a more durable net and bag than wooden paddles that I never play with.
So, overall, kudos to the A11N Sports team by having the #1 portable pickleball net in 2024.

I wanted to see if my coupon code: bepickleballer also worked for a discount on the portable pickleball net, considering it’s already a great price.
Voila, it worked again. Another $12 off.
Check Out Lite Version
Also, as I love these nets, I found another A11N Portable Pickleball Net – 22ft Regulation Size Net with Carrying Bag that is a “lite” version that is even less expensive.
Here’s the price on Amazon and a picture of the product.
3. Runner-Up Pickleball Portable Net
My favorite pickleball portable net is the TYRSEN regulation sized pickleball net that came with other material.
Firstly, I like that this net has wheels that makes it much easier to cart the net around.
Secondly, I appreciated that the price was already low for this net, but it also came with a carrying bag, 4 pickleball paddles (albeit, it did not even get close to making my pickleball paddle quiz), court markers (which I value at around $20), and a few pickleball balls and a bag.
The provided court markers are obviously not the best pickleball court markers, but they were okay, definitely better than the wooden paddles provided.
Check out all these goodies.
The frame feels like it can withstand quite a bit, and it was easy to setup based on the instructions. Now I keep it broken into just a few parts in my garage for easy assembly.
Also, Amazon often offers a coupon with a purchase to make it even cheaper. That said, even with the $10 coupon code, I found that it was more expensive that the A11N Sports pickleball net.
Additionally, it has a 4.6 rating on Amazon based on over 200 ratings.
Best vs. Worst Pickleball Net
There was a huge variance between the best pickleball portable net I tested and the worst. For example, while the worst pickleball net was potentially around $10 cheaper, it did not come with balls, paddles or markers.
The net did not have wheels and it fell apart while playing. In addition, the directions made it much more difficult to setup.
Check out these images showing how the net would flop when hit with a ball.
In addition, the sides would not stay up (even when I asked them nicely). I rarely return things to Amazon, but this was an automatic return.
The middle would not stay in tact (see image below):
The middle did not stay up because of how the net was constructed.
The sides also had exposed siding, even after adjusting.
4. 3rd Place Pickleball Portable Net
I play with this SLK pickleball portable net almost 2 times per week with a friend. I’m a big fan of the SLK pickleball paddle set from Costco, so I wasn’t surprised when I fell in like with this net.
It has wheels, which I believe is a huge plus.
The net has great playability, and I appreciate how the balls go under the net instead of getting stuck at the net.
The price point is higher than my favorite option, so that was a negative, but it’s still under the $200 price range.
5. SLK Prime Pickleball Portable Net
In the last few months, I have been playing a great deal on the SLK prime pickleball portable net, and I would rank it in the 4th position.
I like the fact that it feels like that the net is sturdy and lasts for quite some time. I did not like however that the balls would not go under the net. That means that you often have to stoop down low to grab balls out of the net.
6. Best Overall Pickleball Portable Net (Regardless of Price)
I don’t know if anyone beats the Joola pickleball portable net with wheels. It was recently at the Hyatt Monterey pickleball tournament, and you can tell this is a high quality pickleball net.
Check out the Stanford pickleball team on court 1 playing with this net.
But, it’s also very expensive. While I was looking at nets in the sub $200 range, this net will cost you over $2,000.
That said, it’s an amazing net, so if you have the funds and play pickleball all the time, then maybe it’s worth the investment.
Update
Two weekends ago, my wife and I played at the Hyatt Regency Monterey with the Joola pickleball portable nets, and I will say that this is definitely the best net out there that I have played with.
It has wheels, which makes it easy to move if you need to move it, but it has the solid frame of a permanent net, which in my opinion, is the best of both worlds.
Conclusion
Having a portable pickleball net has elevate my game, but I was surprised the differences between the best and worst pickleball nets.
Ideally, I like to have a net on wheels because it’s easier to move around as long as the wheels can stay put while playing.
