I’ve been playing with the Selkirk Omni as an early access in anticipation of the official June 2, 2026 release date.
The Selkirk Omni is an incredible paddle.
Personally, I believe that the Selkirk Omni (meaning all) may be the best pickleball paddle of the year as it combines both power and unique control, but let me share more in addition to how you can get early access to this paddle.
In this article, let me share how you can access it early, my experience with the Omni, how my omni player, the cost considerations, and how you can use code INF-PBALLER for $30 bonus bucks, and additional features of the paddle.
First Impressions
There are three color options for the new Selkirk Omni, and I opted for the blue version which I’ll show actual pictures of the paddle belwo.

Here’s the front picture of the Omni.

Secondly, you can see that these paddles have the MOI Tuning System similar to the Boomstick, but let’s discuss how this paddle how this paddle will compare to the Boomstick. The really cool feature is the tuning system is completely removable.

Let’s talk playability as that’s most important.
Playability
Let’s cover my normal three review article categories: Control, Power and Spin:
Control
Control was definitely one of the standout areas for me with the Omni. My drops were some of the best I’ve hit in a while, with the ball consistently landing right in the middle of the kitchen and making it difficult for my opponents to attack. I immediately felt comfortable hitting softer shots and resetting points.
Ball placement was also very impressive. I felt like I could shape the ball effectively and place it where I wanted throughout rallies. Whether I was working angles, aiming for feet, or trying to move opponents around the court, the paddle gave me a lot of confidence. The overall feel is cushiony and forgiving, which I think contributes to the excellent control characteristics.
Power
The Omni is an extremely fun paddle to play with, but power doesn’t seem to be the primary focus compared to something like the Boomstick. The feel is still somewhat hollow, although not quite as hollow as the Boomstick, and I immediately noticed a softer, more cushioned response off the face.
The paddle has enough put-away power when you need it, but it definitely feels less poppy than the Boomstick. For players who prioritize consistency, touch, and controlled aggression rather than maximum explosiveness, I think that’s actually a positive. The softer response gave me more confidence to swing freely without worrying about overhitting.
Spin
The spin profile was absolutely insane. The new grit immediately stood out, and it feels right up there with some of the grittiest paddles I’ve tested recently. I would probably put it slightly behind paddles like the Vapor Power 2 and the J2CR Crystal Blue, but it’s certainly in that conversation.
My slices and side-spin serves were generating so much movement that the ball was literally skipping around after it bounced on my opponents’ side of the court. I was also able to manipulate the ball well on passing shots and dipping drives. If spin is one of the top things you look for in a paddle, the Omni makes a very strong first impression.
Let’s next cover how you can get the Omni early and the cost considerations.

Additional Features
Selkirk released some new exciting new technology about the Selkirk Omni that I wanted to share with my readers as quickly as possible. Basically, the Omni will join the Selkirk’s main Luxx control line and the Boomstick’s power line.
- Firstly, the Selkirk Omni has an InfiniGrit™ surface texture. This grit is designed for durability, lasting 3x longer than traditional raw carbon faces.
- Ssecondly, the paddle has ReactCore™ (Double-Ring Technology), which means there is a PureFoam floating center surrounded by a new PureFoam ring and an EVA power ring. The double ring system is designed to offer flexibility, stiffening for power on drives and softening for a cushiony feel on resets.
- Selkirk follows the strictest guidelines available for grit texture because the new Selkirk Omni will have UPA and USAP certification, meaning that the Omni may have slightly less spin numbers than recent hyper-textured paddle launches. This means the Omni will be 100% legal in all tournaments.
I know this paddle may not have as much grit as my J2CR and Vapor Power 2 on paper, but I thought the grit was really quite good, specifically reminding me of the RPM’s V2 and Q2 grit. Here’s the close-up:

Let’s talk Omni vs Boomstick.
Selkirk Omni vs Boomstick
The word Omni means “all”, so that’s a hint around the type of paddle.
From the shorts, you can see that Selkirk Omni will be an all-court paddle while the Selkirk Boomstick is a traditional power paddle. This is huge news that this is going to be a new category of their paddle instead of a Boomstick 2.
I love that Selkirk is going the all-court option as when I compared the Selkirk Boomstick to the Joola Perseus IV back in 2025, I definitely felt that power of the Boomstick could be harder to control.

That said, when I compared the Selkirk Boomstick this week against the Aura Pro, I felt that the Boomstick had amazing power, and the Paddle’s weight distribution of the paddle almost made me feel that it allowed softer hands easier than other paddles.
So, it’s clear that the Boomstick is a boomer paddle, and the new Selkirk Omni will be an all-court paddle, but let’s look at the shorts next.
Watch The YouTube Shorts
There are so few YouTube videos covering the Selkirk Omni, but it does appear that Selkirk chose a few pickleball influencers to tell the current story of the paddle with a very limited narrative. I watched one YouTube interview where the podcaster almost appeared to say “I am sca…” to reference that he may be scared to release more information than that it’s an all court paddle.
Here are the Selkirk Omni shorts from most views to least. The official Selkirk Omni teaser is at the bottom.
