As a pickleball paddle connoisseur, I recently got my hands on the Warping Point Acent Control and Power pickleball paddles.

I had never tried a pickleball paddle with the hole in the pickleball paddle that should reduce air resistance.

The last 2 sessions, I played with this paddle exclusively, and gave my Vatic Pros Prism Flash 14mm and Joola Hyperion CFS 16 paddle a breather.

Let me tell you, the paddle did not disappoint. It was such a fun experience that I just tried and reviewed Warping Point’s brand new Grasp pickleball paddle.

I’ll go through my game results later, but let’s start with covering the amazing unboxing experience that Warping Point provides

And, amazingly, I got a discount code: BEPICKLEBALLER that provides a 25% discount code that I can share more about later. That said, you may want to check Amazon for the best paddle price for this paddle to confirm you’re getting the best price.

The Unboxing Experience is The Best

I’ve purchased so many pickleball paddles that I have lost count (here’s a few of my receipts). I strongly believe that a good unboxing experience increases the excitement of the paddle.

And, Joola’s Ben Johns Hyperion is one of my pricier paddles, and it had one of the worst unboxing experiences. It was seriously just a purple envelope.

So, major kudos to Warping Point for doing it right.

First, you get this really nice box, similar to the one below. It reminds me of a Macbook Pro box. I don’t know about you, but I’ve found myself collecting Macbook pro boxes because they are so nice. Weird habit, I know.

It’s the same feeling I had when opening the Warping Point box.

The box itself is really heavy, making it feel like higher quality.

Next, I really like the little accessories that Warping Point provides. In the box, you’ll find a pickleball paddle keychain, grip tape, a nice paddle cover, etc.

Check this out.

Here’s a picture when you remove the cover.

The paddles themselves have a really nice green and red design. The red paddle is the power paddle, and the green paddle is the control paddle.

Warping Point got me really excited from the unboxing experience, but how did the paddle actually play?

Let’s cover that next.

The Paddle Is Solid

I primarily used the Warping Point in my last 2 sessions, and am excited to use it again soon.

In the first session, I played a regular doubles player in singles. I beat him twice with the paddle, and didn’t lose any matches.

In the second session, I played with a regular, and we swapped games. Ultimately, I came back from an 8-3 deficit in the 3rd game to win 11-9. I used this paddle and was elated with the comeback win.

Control

The Warping Point paddle provides a lot of control on your returns. The carbon fiber face material is the best pickleball paddle material in my opinion, and I liked the weaved texture design.

I generally play with a paddle that has a rim around the outside, but I didn’t miss it when playing with this paddle.

Spin

The Warping Point control paddle provided some incredible spin. On my backhands, I’ve started to put a great deal of spin trying to get the ball to the left line.

With this paddle, I was able to curve the ball so far to the left that it was difficult for my opponent multiple times to return my spin.

Power

The Warping Point paddle had decent power as well. I know that the control paddle is designed for control, but I wasn’t disappointed with the amount of power.

In terms of weight, the Warping Point Ascent paddle weighs 8.1 ounces, so it’s a medium-weight paddle.

Overall, I was very pleased with the Warping Point paddles.

Potential Things to Consider

While I was playing, the one thing I noticed is that my hands were slipping off the grips quite often. This happened more than my other main paddles.

So, if you purchase this paddle, I would consider using the extra grip provided. Thankfully, Warping Point provides grip tape, so it’s an easy switch.

Finally, Warping Point provided an awesome 25% discount code (bepickleballer) that provides a 25% discount on the paddle.

I tried the discount code, and voila, it worked out perfectly.

Let’s talk about the Warping Point outdoor balls next.

Warping Point’s Outdoor Balls Remind Me Of X-40s

My pickleball buddies tend to be x-40 pickleball loyalists. And while, I love x-40s, I am always trying to find competition for the best outdoor pickleball balls.

So, I decided to try the Warping Point Ascend 40 outdoor pickleball balls. First, I like that the box had some design.

Next, I appreciated the black mesh carrying bag, even though it did feel very light weight.

I thought the ball itself had a nice design. I will say that it felt slightly smoother than the x-40 ball, but that didn’t bother me.

Finally, when I weight the ball, I found that the weight was around 27g, which is very similar to the x-40 ball, which I definitely appreciate.

The Warping Point outdoor pickleball balls weigh 27 grams.

In terms of playability, I thought that the Warping Point balls played in line with the x-40s.

What I did for both sessions is had both x-40s and Warping Point balls on hand, and I frankly did not notice a difference apart from the slight feel difference of the balls.

Summing It Up

Overall, I really liked the Warping Point paddle and outdoor ball experience. I am looking forward to trying any future versions of the Warping Point pickleball paddle brand
