I went to UC San Diego for college, so I was so excited to hear learn about a pickleball brand out of San Diego. San Diego is the perfect place for play pickleball, considering that the weather is often incredible.

Firstly, as you will see below, the Roore paddles have fantastic playability and an incredible design.

In addition, the Roore team is quite generous with a discount code, so I am going to cover which paddles I used, my first impressions, the playability, how the discount code bepickleballer works to save 10% and the specifications.

I believe after reading this review, you will realize why this is in the #1 spot in the top pickleball paddles under $75 list.

Let’s get started.

The Roore Paddle Collection

I absolutely love when brands take a place and make unique connections with where they come from. For example, Roore has the Coronado paddle after the Coronado Islands, the Solana which I believe is after Solana beach and the Balboa, which is after Balboa park.

I just went to Balboa park last month to visit the San Diego zoo. Quick side note that we did get to see the pandas, and I was enamored.

Okay, I have tested both the Coronado and the Solana. Here are the stats to consider, and a comparison to the Volair Mach 1 Forza. I have the Mach 2 Forza, and it’s a great paddle, so I love the Roore paddle comparison.

I am excited about the first impressions.

First Impressions

In my opinion, the Roore pickleball paddles have one of the best designs of a pickleball paddle I have ever seen. I believe the paddle is like a topographic map of the ocean.

Here are some pictures.

Plus, the paddle comes with this beautiful paddle cover.

Let’s talk about playability.

Playability

A paddle can look great, but the playability is the most important part. Let’s talk about it.

Control

Firstly, I found that the control was fantastic. In my first sessions with this paddle, I handingly won multiple games wit this paddle. In fact, I am still undefeated with this paddle!

I could control my serves, drop shots, dinks and drives. It was really refreshing to be able to play with a paddle that provided just what I needed when I needed it.

Spin

Next, let’s talk about the spin. During a recent pickleball session, I played with another paddle and lost to around a 4.0 DUPR opponent 11-6. When I switched to the Coronado paddle, I was able to win the second game 12-10.

I felt that the beautiful carbon fiber weave provided ample grip to spin the ball where I needed it to go. Here’s a close up image of the nice carbon fiber weave.

So, when I do a serve from the right side, I was able to move the ball to the back right corner, forcing my opponent to use their back hand.

Power

Sometimes, you have a paddle that has great control and spin, but you lose when it comes to paddle.

Not so for the Roore paddles.

The Roore paddles have both spin, power and control. I generally am able to determine a paddle’s power on my serve and forehand returns.

Thankfully, I was able to have ample power for each of these.

Game over.
