I recently had the joy to review the Fanovae PowerMax pickleball paddle series. There are 3 paddles in the series. In short, you will find amazing playability with many of these paddles at a great price.
Let’s get right into how the PowerMax series works.
Understand the Fanovae PowerMax Series
There are 3 pickleball paddles in the Fanovae Powermax series, and I had the absolute pleasure to test and review each of these paddles. What’s amazing is that the Fanovae paddles are budget friendly, but each paddle has T300- T700 Raw Carbon Fiber with a CFS surface.
Here’s more information on each of the paddles in the series:
7i: The 7i is the least expensive paddle in the bunch a 7-layer design, T700 carbon fiber, and a thicken PP honeycomb core, with a carbon friction surface (CFS) for strength and control.
3d: This paddle features a 9-layer build with 3k carbon fiber, T300 carbon fiber, and a 16mm honeycomb core with abrasian surface.
6s: The 6s paddle has an advanced 9-layer structure with 6k carbon fiber and a dual-layer 700 carbon fiber with 16mm PP honeycomb core with CAS surface.
Here’s the price breakdown of the different paddles if you are interested.
The Fanovae 3D paddle was my favorite based on value and playability and could be a bit difficult to find, so if you are interested in that specific paddle, you can check this link diretly.
Also, it’s nice to note that this paddle often comes with an additional coupon discount, so lookout for that.
Unboxing Experience
You can judge a good book by its cover, right?
I believe that it’s s similar concept with pickleball paddles.
Under each of the paddles, you’ll find a really nice branded pickleball paddle cover.
What really struck me is the sheer number of accesories this paddle comes with,
Not only does the paddles come with a nice carbon fiber eraser, the box also contains 2 grip tapes!
Under each of the covers, you see a really nice carbon fiber paddle that have different colors which will help you understand which paddle you have.
Here’s the value Fanovae pickleball paddle 7i, which I tried first.
Next, we have the Fanovae 3d paddle, which they quoted as their best seller paddle.
Finally, we have the Fanovae 6s pickleball paddle, which is Fanovae’s most premium paddle in the mix.
When you look at the thickness of each paddle, you will see a 16mm pickleball paddle vs 14mm. I often play with 16mm paddles, and it’s paddle thickness for newer players to advanced players.
The unboxing experience was seriously incredible, so next let’s chat about the playability.
Playability
I like to review articles for spin, control, and power, so I wanted to rank each Fanovae paddle based on those principles.
Spin
When I played with the Powermax 3D, it very much had the feel of a $100+ pickleball paddle. I played in a couple of doubles matches with this paddle, and I felt that this paddle provided ample spin.
For example, I generally do a side spin on my serve, and this paddle was able to effectively grip the ball and spin the ball.
I also like to slice and top spin the ball, and there were no complications there. I would rank that the Powermax 3D provided the most spin.
Control
Of the Fanovae Powermax series, I would argue that the PowerMax 3D also had the most control of any of the paddles in the series.
I was able to effectively control my serves to the back of the serving zone. In addition, my returns to serves were on point, and my dinks and drop shots had ample control.
In terms of control, I would rank this as possibly one of the best budget pickleball paddles for control.
Power
For sheer power, I would argue that the PowerMax 6s 16mm paddle yielded the most power.
As stated above, this paddle has a lot of unique technology including a 9-layer structure and 6k carbon fiber with dual layer T700 carbon fiber. and PP honeycomb core.
I generally prefer a 14mm over a 16mm thickness for a power paddle, but I felt that this paddle had good characteristics of a power paddle with that 16mm thickness.
Should You Purchase a Fanovae Paddle, and if so, which one?
Yes, I would say that the Fanovae 3D paddle is one of the top budget pickleball paddles under $50.
This paddle is dynamite with a 3k carbon fiber, T300 carbon fiber, and a 16mm honeycomb core with abrasian surface. All of this technology under $50 is ridiculous.
If you are going for more of a power paddle, I would consider the PowerMax 6s 16mm paddle.
If you are looking for the least expensive paddle, check out the PowerMax 7i pickleball racket as that paddle can be found for less than $40.
Conclusion
I was so pleasantly surprised from testing the Fanovae Powermax pickleball series. This paddle brand produces an awesome paddle experience with a value price tag.
I thought each of the paddles provided something for everyone, and I am excited to see what Fanovae will create in years to come.
