I am going out on a limb and trying to compare 5 different paddles in one article as it’s so important for you to understand different components before making a purchase.

I was late to the BNB Loco party, but now that I’ve been playing with it, I want to compare it to the J2NF and Luzz Inferno (two top paddles of 2025) and to the J2CR and Vapor Power 2 (2 top paddles of 2026). These paddles are very different in their construct, and how they play. Some are explosive. Some are surgical. Others are balanced.

So, please bare with me, and drop me a comment below what you end up deciding on.

Let’s talk about how each paddles first, which paddles win for playability and what really surprised me, the cost implications of each paddles before and after the discount code: bepickleballer and which paddle I would choose.

How Each Paddle Feels

Firstly, let’s talk about the Loco. And I have the Bread and Butter elongated paddle. Mine weight 8.1 ounces.

The J2NF has an elongated and regular handle length. I have the regular handle length, and mine weights 8.1-8.2 ounces.

The J2CR was just released in 2026, and it’s an incredible paddle to an already star studded line up. Mine weighed in at 7.9 ounces.

The Luzz Inferno was a top paddle in 2025, and I constantly compare my paddles against the Luzz Inferno. My weighed in a 7.9 ounces.

Finally, the Vapor Power 2 is the best 11six24 paddle, which was just released in 2026. It’s the best 11six24 paddle out there from my analysis. Mine weighed in at 8.0-8.1 ounces.

Lets talk about playability where these paddles really separate.

Which Paddle Wins Playability?

Control

When it comes to control, this is where you really separate good paddles from great ones. Control isn’t just about soft hands, it’s about how predictable the paddle feels on resets, drops, and dinks under pressure.

The Honolulu J2CR takes the top spot here.

This paddle just feels incredibly connected at contact. The ball sits on the face a split second longer, which makes it easier to place shots exactly where you want them. Whether I was dropping third shots, resetting pace at the kitchen, or dinking crosscourt, everything felt very intentional and repeatable.

What I like most is that it gives you control without feeling dead. There’s still enough pop to be offensive, but it never feels like the paddle is playing too fast. Now, J2CR has a good amount of paddle, but if you want straight control, check out my review comparing the J2CR to the J2FC+.

The Luzz Inferno comes in next, and this one might surprise people given its power profile.

Even though it’s known as more of an aggressive paddle, the foam core gives it a really nice dampened feel on softer shots. I found that resets and blocks were more controlled than expected, especially when absorbing pace from hard hitters.

Where it differs from the J2CR is that it’s a bit more reactive. The ball comes off faster, so you need slightly better hands to keep everything dialed in. But once you adjust, it actually offers a really solid blend of control and offense.

Here’s my overall ranking.

  1. Honolulu J2CR
  2. Luzz Inferno
  3. Honolulu J2NF
  4. Vapor Power 2
  5. BNB Loco

Spin

When it comes to generating massive RPMs and heavy “dip” on your drives, the 11six24 Vapor Power 2 is the undisputed king of this lineup.

It features a revolutionary HexGrit textured surface that bites into the ball like a serrated knife, allowing for aggressive topspin that dives into the court at the last second.

While most paddles lose their “sandpaper” feel after a few weeks, the Vapor Power 2 still has a ton of grit even after I’ve played many sessions with it.

The Honolulu J2CR is a very close second, and the blue grit endurance I’d argue would be on equal footing with the Vapor Power 2.

The J2CR has a more traditional raw carbon fiber bite that feels incredibly “grippy” during slices and cut shots. I feel that connectedness at contact, which I definitely prefer to shape the ball.

In terms of spin, I would rank:

  1. 11six24 Vapor Power 2
  2. Honolulu J2CR
  3. BNB Loco
  4. Luzz Inferno
  5. Honolulu J2NF

Power

The BNB loco has the most raw power in my opinion. It has an incredible amount of pop, and a friend recently exploded with the paddle in a singles tournament.

The Vapor Power 2 is much faster in the hands and has better spin, but the Loco has more “raw” plow-through power.

However, if you are a “reset-only” player who hates “pop,” the J2NF is still the safer control choice with ample power.

The Honolulu J2CR and Luzz Inferno still have ample power, but I would not put them in the category of the above options. Here’s my ranking for power.

  1. BNB Loco
  2. Vapor Power 2
  3. Honolulu J2NF
  4. Honolulu J2CR
  5. Luzz Inferno

Cost Implications

Let’s talk about the cost of each of these paddles as thankfully they are all within the same range, but there are definitely differences.

The BNB Loco is priced at $199.00 before the discount code BEPICKLEBALLER which takes this paddle down to $179.10

The J2NF is priced at $195 before discount code PICKLEBALLER20 which takes this down to $175.50

The J2CR is also priced at $195 before discount code PICKLEBALLER20 which takes this down to $175.50.

The Luzz Inferno is priced at $229 before discount code BEPICKLEBALLER, which takes this paddle down to $194.65

The Vapor Power 2 is priced at $209.99 before discount code BEPICKLEBALLER, which takes this paddle down to $199.99

Which Paddle Would I Choose?

I want to include what each of these paddles may be best for. Personally, based on my style of play, I like a control paddle that has a lot of power without sacrificing too much control while having ample spin.

Due to this, I would go with the Honolulu J2CR.

That said, if you are going for straight power, I would choose the BNB Loco. I was able to control the paddle after a bit of practice and the power is pretty incredible.

If you want an all around great paddle, I like the Luzz Inferno.

Finally, if you want clear spin, go with the Vapor Power 2 or the Honolulu J2CR Blue Endurance Grip.

And finally, the Honolulu J2NF is still a great paddle if you want a balance of the three with a bit more power.
