I just received my J2CR pickleball paddle, and the paddle 100% did not disappoint. I played in a tournament with the paddle this weekend, and I noticed how impressed some of my opponents were. One opponent had the J6CR, and I saw the J2FC+ and J2NF, so a big question came into my hand.

How does the J2CR compare against the J3CR vs J6CR vs J2NF vs J2FC+ or even the old J2K? Would I choose the J2CR or the J2CR Blue Endurance Surface?

Many of these paddles cost $195 (before using the coupon code PICKLEBALLER20 that takes nearly $20 off)

Firstly, we will cover the differences between the new CR paddles, and then we will compare the J2CR vs J2NF and J2FC+.

J2CR vs J3CR vs J6CR Pickleball Paddle

Firstly, I got the J2CR over the J2CR Crystal Blue Endurance version. Honolulu mentioned on it’s website that the Cystal Blue Endurance version is submited for approval, but certification is not yet finalized. So, it’s potentially risky to choose that option.

Next, let’s talk about the difference between J2CR vs J3CR vs J6CR as I saw many J6CRs at a tournament recently.

The J6CR was released January 6, 2026. and the difference between the 2,3, and 6 is that the 2 is the hybrid shape, the 3 is widebody, and the 6 is elongated. There’s a lot to compare, so I created this comparison table for you to compare the paddles.

Personally, I love the J2CR as I love the hybrid shape.

The J6CR has the most power of the line up, and it’s an elongated grip, but after reading some reddit reviews labeling the paddle is great, I noted one review that mentioned that the paddle had less power and a much smaller sweet spot to the Loco.

As such, I wanted to spend more time focusing on the J2CR as this paddle is difficult to come by at the moment given that it’s constantly sold out. That said, I believe it’s worth the wait.

All three of these paddles are around $175 after copying and pasting the code PICKLEBALLER20.

Let’s talk first impressions.

J2CR First Impressions

Let’s start with first impressions. This is where the paddle really shines. The paddle’s face is a a Carbon Fiber – CFC, and to be honest, it felt better than both the J2FC+ and the J2NF.

Secondly, here’s the frontal view of the paddle. I thought that the Honolulu paddles continue to up the ante of the design of these paddles. I love the blue more than the muted grey of the J2NF and J2FC+, and even the J2K. That said, you can opt in for the white boarder as well.

I take the side view shot of some of my paddles, but this paddle has an amazing side view shot.

Let’s talk about the Playability.

J2CR Playability

Firstly, the J2CF playability is incredible. Let’s talk power, spin and control.

Firstly, the spin was absolutely insane. The knuckle serve provides so much spin, and I could see that this paddle has even more RPMs than my RPM Friction Pro. I let my friend use the paddle, and he delivered the best spinning ace that I’ve ever seen.

Secondly, the paddle’s control was also extremely solid. I had beautiful drops and my dinks were unreal. You just have so much control as the paddle grips the ball, and allows you to guide the ball effortlessly.

Finally, the power is absolutely next level. I painted the back line on serves and returns more than I have ever done before with the J2CR. In addition, I had incredible forehand drives.

J2CR vs. J2FC+ vs J2NF and Cost Consideration.

In my opinion, when I compared these paddles head to head, I believe the J2CR has slightly less power than the J2NF, but more controlled power. I prefer that.

In addition, the J2CR had more power than the J2FC+, but potentially slightly less power. I prefer the J2CR considering the control is still fantastic.

Here’s a comparison table.

You can copy and paste the discount code PICKLEBALLER20 and get nearly $20 off this paddle, bringing the paddle to around $175. Please note you have to copy the code or it doesn’t apply.

Let’s finalize with what I would choose.

Which Would I choose?

Personally, I love the J2CR more than the J2FC+ and the J2NF. I thought that the J2CR has more control and almost the same of level of power as the the powerful J2NF.

In addition, I also felt that the J2CR has more power than the J2FC+, but also has ample control. I am choosing the J2CR as my next main paddle, which is a huge step considering where the J2NF and J2FC+ rank in the best pickleball paddles in 2026.
