I am obssessed with finding the best pickleball paddle under $100, which is why I knew I had to try the new Ronbus Quanta as it’s only $99 after discount code RCBEPICKLEBALLER.
In fact, many of my ~70 pickleball paddles are under $100, but there are only a few paddles that have foam cores in that $100 range, including the new V-Sol Pro and Power which I wrote an extensive review on.
Let’s talk about first impressions, playability, cost considerations, and whether it will top the best paddles under $100 list.
First Impressions
Firstly, I was not necessarily impressed with the packagin as it comes in a normal mailer, but the paddle is $100, so I am not wanting to ask for an amazing unboxing experience.

That said, when I opened up the package I was immediately impressed with the paddle’s design and the overall feel of the paddle. I loved the different shades of blue and the light blue edgeguard is a nice touch.

In addition, I will mention this later in the playability, but I firstly loved the grit of this paddle, and the weight of the paddle. As you can see, the paddle weight is 7.6 ounces which is definitely on the lighter side.

In my research, I found that many people added weight in the 3 and 9 o’clock position, which I may do, but I actualy really liked the weight distribution of the stock paddle.
All that to say, let’s talk about playability as we know that’s most important.
Playability
The playability certainly did not disappoint. I played around 10 games yesterday with this paddle, and I believe I won 8 of ten of those games, mainly thanks to this paddle.
Control
Firstly, in terms of control, I got to test the Ronbus Qaunta in both singles and doubles. In singles, I felt that this paddle really provided ample control on my drops, drinks, but also my forehand and backhands.
In addition, I honestly felt that the hand speed with this paddle was absolutely insane. I felt that the 7.6 ounces really allowed my hands to move so much faster.
Finally,
Spin
The spin performance is impressive. The moment I started hitting topspin serves, I could feel the Toray T700 raw carbon fiber surface grab the ball. It’s got that raw texture you can almost hear when you brush up on contact and the kind that makes the ball dip faster than your opponent expects.
I noticed a clear difference in how easily I could generate spin compared to most paddles in this price range. Whether it was slicing a return or rolling a topspin drive, the ball consistently kicked and curved off my paddle face.
Independent tests have measured the Quanta at over 2200 RPM (source), and from my own play, I can see why. It’s not just the raw numbers as it’s the predictability of the spin.
The spin is real, but it’s also usable, meaning you don’t have to swing like a pro to benefit from it. For players who like to shape the ball, the Ronbus Quanta gives you that satisfying mix of grip, control, and bite that’s rare to find under $120.
Power
I was also urprised at the power of the Ronbus Quanta with how explosive it felt from the very first hit. I’ve played with a lot of paddles that try to market themselves as “power paddles,” but this one genuinely delivers.
When I stepped into a drive or serve, the ball just jumped off the face with a clean, satisfying pop. The energy transfer feels efficient like the paddle gives back exactly what you put into it, no lag or mushiness. That’s thanks to its EPP foam core and thermo-formed design, which keep the structure solid and responsive. I could swing freely without feeling like I was losing control, which made it easy to finish points at the net or drive through heavier balls. Here’s what Ronbus states about the technology:

What makes the Quanta’s power so interesting is that it doesn’t come from brute stiffness alone. The paddle is so lightweight that I could accelerate swing speed like I mentioned before and I was less fatigued after long sessions.
I may add lead tape to open up the power, but I recently added lead tape to my J2FC+ and I felt that it was a bit too heavy of a paddle. So, I may just keep it as is as I already appreciate the power.
Cost Considerations
The Ronbus Quanta is $119.99 before the code RCBEPICKLEBALLER, which takes a $20 off of your purchase.
To use this coupon, you would just add the code to the cart and then add the discount code directly to your purchase. I used the $20 discount code, and it worked perfectly. Please note that I could not find this paddle on Amazon, but the paddle arrived very quickly after purchase.
Is The Ronbus Quanta The Best Paddle Under $100?
Honestly, I beleive that the Ronbus Quanta could be the best pickleball paddle under $100 in 2025, and potentially the best pickleball paddle ever under $100.
After purchasing this paddle, I wanted to compare the Quanta to other paddles, so I purchased the popular Ripple and R1 and reviewed them. One of them severely disappointed me.
The paddle provides that finesse that is really shocking compared to paddles in the $200-$300 range. It has a lot of control, power and spin, but the hand speed is the most impressive I’ve seen with any paddle.
