I absolutely love the quality of Warping Point’s pickleball paddle, so I was ecstatic to add the Nightblade raw carbon fiber pickleball paddle to my growing 60+ pickleball paddle collection.

If you’re just joining me, I own multiple Warping Point paddles of each generation, and I believe that the Warping Point Grasp Control is currently the best pickleball paddle for control. Surprisingly, that paddle is under $100.

The Warping Point Nightblade is the newest addition, so I want to discuss the unboxing experience, playability, and cost considerations including the incredibly generous discount code.

Unboxing Experience

Firstly, my first unboxing experience ever was with a Warping Point pickleball paddle, and I immediately came addicted to the love of seeing your paddle for the first time.

Warping Point continues to innovate and creates some of the most amazing unboxing experiences, and the Nightblade was no exception.

Firstly, you are greeted with a beautiful black and red box, which matches this paddle’s personality.

Next, you open the box in a unique way and are greeted with a beautiful paddle cover and accessories.

Finally, Warping Point is the king of amazing accessories, so check out some of these fantastic accessories provided. My daughters already put some of these Warping Point stickers on their water bottles that they carry around.

The Warping Point Nightblade had an incredible unboxing experience, but let’s talk playability.

Playability

For the Warping Point Nightblade paddle, I wanted to focus my review on control, power and spin.

Power

The Nightblade is a powerhouse with a 14mm foam filled polymer honeycomb core. Check this side view out.

When I played with this paddle, I could feel it’s raw power. I love the edgeless design and the weight of this paddle that allowed me for quick wrist movements.

In addition, this paddle allows insanely quick counterattacks and fast baseline serves. It reminds me of the power of my Ben Johns Joola Gen Pro IV, but at a fraction of the price.

Finally, with control, you have an amazing grip that can handle two handed backhands effortlessly with more power.

Control

Right away, I could tell this paddle was built for control. The surface is made with a triple-layer blend of raw T700 carbon fiber, and the sweet spot feels huge, way more forgiving than some of my other paddles that feel like you have to hit the exact center every time.

When I played with it, the margin for error felt bigger. I wasn’t stressing about hitting the sweet spot because the paddle just delivered. I’m a firm believer in carbon fiber for control, and 3k is a step above the standard stuff, it really feels like this brand took care to give players a better handle on their soft game.

Spin

Spin is a big part of how I play as I like to shape my shots, especially when I’m on defense. This paddle really impressed me with how well it grabbed the ball.

The paddle has an endura friction surface for maximum spin. The T700 carbon fiber layer blend has raw carbon, polyester and teflon coating.

I could feel the grit on the surface working when I went for my usual backhand return with a drop-spin that shifts left. The paddle made it feel almost automatic. That kind of grip and feel makes a big difference in high-pressure rallies.

Cost Considerations

The Warping Point Nightblade is Warping Point’s most premium paddle, and it really lives up to the hype.

As such, the paddle retails at $219.99, but is currently on sale for $149.99. That said, the Warping Point is extremely generous and provided a 25% discount code (bepickleballer) that can get this paddle under $120.

That’s an insane price given this paddle’s value, and I would say that this may be the best pickleball paddle under the $125 range with that code.

If it’s helpful, check out the price on Amazon as well.

Should You Purchase the Nightblade Pickleball Paddle?

The Warping Point Nightblade paddle is a fantastic option for 4.0+ DUPR players who like to blend power and control, and want an extremely good value premium paddle.

Finally, this paddle is both USAPA and UPA-A pickleball approved, so you can (and maybe should) use this paddle in tournament play.
