I have 60+ pickleball paddles, so I saw the ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle and thought that it was time for me to make the investment.
The paddle boasts a 16mm carbon surface, and the paddle was under $20, so I was enamored and wanted to see if it could be the best budget pickleball paddle.
Unfortunately, the paddle has not lived up to the hype. In a match where I won 3 out of 4 games, I only lost the game with this ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle at 11-6.
Let’s talk about the unboxing experience.
Unboxing Experience
Firstly, the ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle’s box is nice. It’s basic, but nice.
When you open the box, you can see that the paddle looks really nice. I was excited to see the paddle as it was nice.
When you open up the box, you can see an advanced series carbon fiber 16mm pickleball paddle. The paddle looks great overall.

Let’s talk about the playability.
Playability
I felt that the ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle had a nice first impressions, but I didn’t love the playability of this paddle.
Control
Firstly, this paddle has a carbon surface, but the paddle felt that it lacked grip. As such, I didn’t ever feel that I had proper control of the ball. This may be why I lost the first match 11-6.
If you look close to the paddle, you will see that the paddle has very little grit.
As the grit was lacking, I found that that I could not find the control to place the ball appropriately on the court.
Thankfully, the pickleball paddle is USA pickeball approved according to the paddle.
Spin
As I stated before, I liked the paddle’s first impression, but I didn’t feel that I had the control nor spin of the ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle.
When I tried to put enough to spin on the ball from right to left, I did not find that the ball actually spin well.
Unfortunately, I did not feel that this paddle had much spin ability. Hopefully, during my next session, I will want to see that this paddle provides more spin.
Power
When I played with this pickleball paddle, I felt that this paddle had okay power. I would argue that this paddle had more power than it had control and spin.
That said, I would not argue that this paddle had amazing power, spin or control.
Conclusion
The ZTTENLLY pickleball paddle was overall not impressive. The paddle has a very entry level price point, but I felt that the paddle looked much better than it played.
Unfortunately, I didn’t feel that the paddle had much pop or sweet spot. If I budget around $20, I would try to find a pickleball paddle that has grit and a nice carbon fiber face.
