After I had an amazing experience with the Beatnik X Monster pickleball paddle and Beatnik Air Blast pickleball paddle, I was extremely excited to try the Hyper Beat One pickleball paddle.

Okay, so this paddle is really fun, so let me jump right in.
First Impressions
Firstly, when I opened the box, I realiez that this paddle may be the best looking pink paddles on the market. It’s not a girly pink, but a really nice pink with a beautiful purple color added into the branded B.
Here’s the side of the paddle, and I love seeing a brand spend extra to have their brand on the side of the paddle.
The grip on this paddle is incredible. The grip is not completely smooth which is nice to allow you to have a better grip on the paddle.
Playability
The most important thing about a paddle is playability, so let’s discuss how the Beatnik Hyper Beat One measures up.
Control
Firstly, my favorite aspect about any paddle is control over spin and power, so I measure each paddle by control. What I loved about this paddle is that it’s thermoformed T700 Raw carbon-face, which is one of the most expensive paddles you can purchase, which gave me a great control.
My drops were able to fall exactly where I targeted, and I also was able to effectively dink the ball. On drives, I was accurate and consistent, and my serves were on point.
I thought the sweet spot was generous as well to give me forgiveness where I needed it.
Spin
In terms of spin, I appreciated the grit on the paddle’s surface which allowed me to control the ball and spin the ball.
I tend to do a side spin on my serve and then I utilize slice at various times, and I thought that the paddle really provided a nice touch.
Power
The Hyper Beat One also maintained ample power. I rely on power on my serves, and I thought that the paddle provided exactly what I needed both on the serve and also on drives during the games.
I would say that this paddle may provide slightly higher control and spin, but I still felt that I had great power.
