The best pickleball paddle for spin was released in late 2025, so let’s cover the best paddle for spin and then some interesting alternatives.

My favorite feeling playing pickleball is spinning the ball so much that it hits my opponent’s edgeguard and goes off to no man’s land, which is why I want you to know the best pickleball paddles for spinin 2025. Getting the best spin has driven me to get 40-50 pickleball paddles in my search for the perfect paddle.

As such, I want to provide the best pickleball paddles for spin, and then I will add information on what to look for if you are looking for a spin-fest pickleball paddle.

1. Best Overall Pickleball Paddle For Spin

The best overall pickleball paddle for spin is the brand new Honolulu J2FC+ pickleball paddle that recently rated a 2307 revolutions per minute (RPM) per extensive testing (source). That is incredible, so I had to get my hands on it and test the paddle specifically for spin.

Firstly. here’s the close up view of the paddle. Let’s look at the specification and the cost considerations.

The J2FC+ shines when it comes to spin, and it’s one of the best paddles I’ve used for shaping shots. Its carbon fiber surface isn’t just lightly textured, and it has a raw, peel-ply finish that grips the ball longer, When I hit topspin drives, I can feel the paddle bite into the ball before releasing it cleanly, giving my shots a heavy arc that dips right inside the baseline.

The paddle’s plush foam core also adds a split-second of dwell time, letting you “load” the ball and exaggerate that spin effect. It’s not just raw power; it’s precision spin that makes your opponents stretch and scramble.

For knuckle serves and slices, the J2FC+ gives you a ton of control over how you shape the ball. The firm outer edge combined with the soft foam core lets you carve through the ball with confidence, which is perfect for keeping your slice low and unpredictable.

On knuckle serves, the smooth release and consistent face texture help remove unwanted spin, producing that erratic, floaty trajectory that keeps returners guessing. Whether you’re brushing up for topspin, cutting under for slice, or flattening out for a knuckler, the J2FC+ gives you the friction and feedback needed to master all three.

Graciously, Jamie (CEO) of Honolulu pickleball gave my readers the code pickleballer20, so you can get these paddles between almost $20 off the MSRP of $195. For under $200, I’d say these are a steal.

2. Runner-Up Spin Paddle

The Volair Mach 2 Forza is the best pickleball paddle for spin. It’s evident right when you open the box that says, “Time to unleash your spin potential”.

Picture of volair mach 2 forza in the box.

This paddle does exactly that. In my Volair Mach 2 Forza review, I mentioned the following:

Thankfully, I was not disappointed. One of my three serves is a spin with the paddle going from right to left. A friend suggested I tried that serve based on my natural forehand. So, I used that serve almost exclusively in the match above, and it was flawless. I was able to put ample spin on the serve, making the return difficult.

Here are some of the features that make this paddle’s spin so impressive:

  • 2100 RPMs – Top Tier Spin
  • High-Performance Polypropylene Core
  • Toray T700  Carbon Fiber with Foam Injection
  • Carbon Fiber Reinforced Around the Inside Edge
  • Pure Soft TPU Edge Guard
  • EVA parts inside the grip to prevent vibration

Unfortunately, this paddle is not cheap. That said, I reached out to the team and they were kind enough to provide the discount code: bepickleballer that provides a $17.99 discount as you can see below.

Please not you have to add the code manually in order to get the discount.

I confirmed that the code works, so hopefully that can drive down the cost if you want to pick this paddle up.

And, here’s a picture of the paddle’s design.

Let’s look at another beautiful paddle that can do what you need it to do.

3. Best Budget Spin Paddle

I read on so many forums just how special the Juciao Spin 1.0 pickleball paddle is, so I knew I needed to get my hands on the paddle and review it for you.

Firstly, the first impressions were incredible. This paddle is often under $75, and it comes with a high quality paddle cover and grip tape as you can see below. Let’s talk first impressions and then playability.

Picture of the Juciao pickleball paddle box with the paddle cover and grip tape.

Next, just look how beautiful this paddle is. Firstly, I loved the paddle’s shape that provided a large sweet spot, the paddle grip provided ample opportunity for 2 handed backhands.

Here’s the side view showing the 16mm pickleball paddle thickness.

Now, let’s talk about the playability. Firstly, in my first game with this paddle, I played 1 on 2 against 2 opponents in the 4.0-4.25 DUPR range. The paddle provided insane spin with a raw T700 carbon fiber surface. I saw that first on my knuckle serve. I also saw incredible top spin and this paddle’s slice is ridiculous.

The paddle has naturally gritty texture that grips the ball well for topspin, slices, and my cut shots, leading me to win the game 11-7. The paddle had decent power, but I would purchase the best power paddle if you’re looking for a power paddle.

Next, the paddle is thermoformed unibody with foam injected walls providing control and consistency. Overall, the Juciao Spin 1.0 is a high-performing spin paddle for players who prioritize spin without sacrificing control.

4. Second Runner Up Best Spin

The Honolulu J2TI+ from Sword & Shield might be one of the best-designed paddles for spin you’ve ever used. Right out of the box, the unique hybrid shape stood out. It gives you that long reach and power you expect from an elongated paddle, but with the sweet spot and control of a standard shape. That’s a rare combo.

The surface is made with carbon fiber mixed with a titanium-like PET fiber, which gives it a gritty feel, perfect for grabbing the ball and adding serious spin. When I go for a topspin drive or a sharp angle dink, the paddle reacts exactly how I want it to. The 16mm core adds dwell time, which means the ball sits on the face just a bit longer giving me even more spin potential.

Even better, the thermocompression design and balanced foam edges make it feel stable and responsive, especially when I’m speeding up hands at the net. The connected reflex technology they use? You can actually feel it working when you’re switching between soft shots and fast counters.

After a short break-in period, the paddle really comes to life. It’s like it molds into your playstyle whether you’re looking for power, control, or heavy spin.

5. Runner-Up Budget Spin Paddle

The best budget spin paddle was extremely difficult to find, but I believe the PBVMURTG T700 Carbon Fiber paddle is the best overall budget paddle, and it’s actually designed for spin. It’s under $50 after applying a $20 discount on Amazon. In addition, the paddle had an amazing unboxing experience, and played really well for spin especially top spin and slice.

I also use a side spin on my serves, and you could notice just how well the ball angled, throwing off my opponent.

You may not believe this, but I played with a $200 paddle recently against my friend who is probably in the 4.0-4.5 DUPR range. My friend beat me 3 games in a row. After the defeats, I switched to this PBVMURTG pickleball paddle in game 4, and won the game 11-3. I could not believe it.

The paddle also comes with a nice paddle cover, which is impressive under the $50 mark.

6. Mark OneX Pickleball Paddle

What makes the Mark One X so unique for spin? First, it’s the surface. The paddle face uses a high-grit raw carbon fiber that bites into the ball. You can feel it as soon as you go for a topspin drive or a spin serve. The grip on the ball is real and reliable.

Then there’s the 16mm core, which increases dwell time. That just means the ball stays on the face a little longer. More contact time means more spin. Whether you’re slicing a backhand or rolling a forehand crosscourt, you get a lot of control over ball rotation. Here’s my comprehensive review.

Spin doesn’t come from surface alone. The Mark One X also has excellent weight balance, which helps you generate more paddle speed with less effort. Faster paddle speed? More spin potential.

But here’s the best part, and it doesn’t feel heavy in your hands. Even with all that spin tech, you can still maneuver quickly at the net, making it easier to counter with spin-heavy resets or flicks.

7. Bread and Butter Fat Boy Pickleball Paddle

The Bread and Butter Fat Boy provides an insane spin. The brand is really fun and the unboxing experience is one of the best in the industry. As you can see in the picture below, the fat boy pickleball paddle has a fatter paddle face. This provides more area on the sides to do a longer top spin.

Here’s what I added in my recent Bread and Butter Fat Boy review:

Let’s talk about spin. The Fat Boy pickleball paddle has a beautiful Kevlar weave, which I believe gave this paddle a beautiful spin.

One of my serves involves spinning the paddle from right to left—a technique a friend suggested to match my natural forehand. I used that serve almost exclusively in the matches mentioned above, and it was flawless, adding plenty of spin that made returns difficult.

8. Joola Hyperion Ben Johns CFS 16mm Pickleball Paddle

The Joola Hyperion Ben Johns CFS 16mm is one of my first premium paddles, and is one of the regular paddles that I play with. It provides immense spin given the large sweet spot, and the paddle’s shape.

It’s also one of the best pickleball paddles for intermediate players, and it’s one paddle that Ben Johns used to play with before he switched to a new Joola paddle.

The paddle has a killer spin profile and you can do top spin and back spin. It also allows me ample side spin on my serves. It’s an all around beast of a paddle.

I unfortunately don’t have a discount code for this paddle, but it’s often on sale on Amazon, which is nice.

9. Warping Point Balance Paddle Pickleball Paddle

This is the new T700 16mm Warping point balance paddle. I like the balance paddle as it provides an incredible spin complex. I first loved the Warping Point Ascent paddle, so I got my hands on this paddle.

In my Warping Point Balance Paddle review, I mentioned the following:

I love the raw T700 carbon fiber surface with its teflon coating. It gives me incredible spin, grip, and feedback on every shot. Whether I’m hitting powerful topspins or controlling the ball’s trajectory, this surface design lets me stay in command on the court.

Plus, it adds a little bit of unpredictability that can throw off my opponents, making them miss shots and giving me the edge to score and win matches.

The Warping Point Team is incredible, and provided me a 25% off discount code for my readers. This makes. this premium paddle much more affordable.

10. Bread and Butter Shogun Pickleball Paddle

The Bread and Butter brand has two paddles in the top paddle spin list. The Shogun is an amazing paddle that has a T700 Carbon Fiber x Electroplated Polyester Weave that provides an exceptional spin.

Here’s what the Shogun pickleball paddle spin profile offers from my review:

The carbon fiber electroplated polyester face makes spin easy. I like to add spin to my serve, and the Shogun paddle gives me just the right touch. Even on my backhand, where I like a bit of spin, the Shogun performs well. The elongated handle also allows great two handed backhands, which I continue to practice.

Check how cool this paddle is.

I would say that an honorable mention to this list would be the CRBN 1 or 2 paddles. I do not own these paddles, but I have read that these paddles are known for its raw carbon fiber face and spin potential

Conclusion

I love playing pickleball and using a paddle that spins the ball in a way that puts it out of reach for my opponent. In fact, a pickleball paddle’s spin ability is my favorite paddle feature, and I even wrote an article covering my favorite outdoor pickleball ball for spin.

Thankfully, a good spin paddle can make all the difference.

Hopefully, this article of 6 best pickleball paddles for spin will equip you to spin the ball and defeat your opponents.
