After having an amazing eperience with the Holbrook Mav Pro 2.0, I was ecstatic to try the new Holbook Aero series. The specs are incredible, and Holbrook has put a ton of technology into this paddle in its quest to fuse Cutting Edge Technology with Eye-Catching Design.

Let’s get started.

1. The Aero Series Background

The new Holbrook Aero collection is built for those pickleball players that look for a light weight aerodynamic paddle that provides increased hand speed, maximized power, and an enlarged sweet spot.

The Aero paddles do this by 1) using dynamic weight tech distribution 2) An edgeless design that provides a balanced paddle and increased hand speed, and 3) Added weight plates in the corner to expand the sweet spot.

Here’s a picture of the paddles, and I can explain some key differences.

Firstly, I went with the Aero T, which has the long handle. The Aero X has a hybrid/elongated face, the Aero S has the square shape, and the Aero Metallic weave surface

2. Unboxing Experience

I was unbelievably excited to get this paddle in the mail. The Holbrook Aero-T came in a nice branded sleeve, so let me show you exactly how it looks.

The Aero T’s design was superb, and the unboxing experience was fun. Let’s get right into how this paddle plays.

3. Playability

As someone who has around 50 pickleball paddles, I tend to bring a lot of pickleball paddles when I play at the courts.

One of my good friends wanted to try one of my paddles, and he immediately chose the Holbrook Aero T and kept playing with it.

This gives you a hint of how amazing this paddle really is.s get into the essentials.

Power

The Aero T’s pickleball paddle’s power is incredible. I could easily get much more power on my serve than some of the other paddles.

In addition, I have the 16mm Aero-T paddle, but the edgeless design makes it feel like a 14mm paddle. It’s incredible. You can read more about differences between 14mm vs 16mm paddles here.

I really like how the paddle has weight distrubtions on the top and bottom of the paddle that give this paddle some extra force on the court.

Control

In terms of control, I felt that the Aero paddle also had solid control. I would love to see how the Aero T compares to the Aero X and S.

I have many paddles in the square shape that I believe you see more control, but I was really happy that the Aero T gave me the exact control I needed.

I spent a lot of time using the Aero T with my Erne pickleball machine. I spent most of the session practicing shots in the far left corner to practice my backhand returns. The elongated handle gives you the ability to have a two-handed backhand, and I could quite easily control the drop shot.

Spin

The Aero pickleball paddle provides a strong spin profile. I was impressed that I was able to provide both power and spin on my return shots.

I like to put a backhand spin on served returns, and I felt that this paddle was able to put a mean spin on the returns.

Overall, I felt that the Holbrook team put together a swiss army knife pickleball paddle in the Aero series.

This paddle has some amazing features including the unibody edgecraft foam and the unidirectional T700 carbon fiber, so let’s cover that next.
