I have tested and reviewed a lot of pickleball paddles, but none have the fun, unique story behind their brand as 11six24.

I won’t share the “spoiler alert” just yet, but I really related not just to the fun origin story, but also to David’s desire to provide a premium paddle without the exhorbitant price tag.

This is why I was elated to get my hands on the Monarch Jelly Bean pickleball paddle. Yes, the Jelly Bean does provide a bit of the spoiler alert. 🙂

Anyhow, I wanted to see whether the juce was worth the squeeze.

Short answer: It DEFINITELY was.

Let’s get into it.

Unboxing Experience

I received the Royal Burst color, but they also provide an arctic white, midnight teal and a standard color. You can get the paddle in 14mm or 16mm.

Here’s the side view of the paddle. I love the color combination and how the colors start to overlap.

Here are a couple of accessories that the Monarch paddle came with.

Overall, this paddle looks and feels great, but none of that really matters if the paddle cannot hit the ball over the net. Let’s talk playability.

Playability

Playability is where this paddles really shines. It’s such a value at this price point as I have had paddles double the price that don’t play as well as this paddle.

Here’s what made it exceptional:

Control

The Monarch Jelly Bean pickleball paddle offered top-notch control. I could precisely place the ball where I wanted, reducing unforced errors significantly.

As a singles player, control is crucial, and this paddle delivered in spades, helping me dominate rallies with ease.

Even in doubles, I found that this provide a lot of control for third shot drops.

Spin

From the moment I unboxed it, I had high expectations for a spin paddle

I’m glad to say it lived up to the hype. One of my favorite serves involves generating spin from right to left, and this paddle made it seamless.

The spin potential was excellent, forcing opponents to struggle with challenging returns.

Power

The Monarch pickleball paddle isn’t just about control and spin; it packs a punch too.

It’s a well-rounded paddle that provides the power needed to execute aggressive shots, making it feel like the Swiss Army knife of pickleball paddles.

Whether you need finesse at the net or hard-hitting groundstrokes, this paddle covers it all.
