Do you know that feeling when you expect something in the mail and then you receive it and it feels like Christmas?

That was my first interaction when I received the beautiful Volair Mach 2 Forza box.

Let’s back the story up.

I was originally attracted to the Mach 2 Forza because I am constantly interested in what the top professional pickleball player use for their paddles, and I knew that Julian Arnold is a top player and sponsored by Volair.

I also love brands that provide discount codes, so I was elated that Volair provided a $17.99 off discount code for the Mach 2 Forza (code: bepickleballer) that I can share more later. From there, I was ready to test out this paddle.

Let’s start with the unboxing experience.

Unboxing Experience

As stated above, the Volair Mach 2 Forza box is so nice. It’s larger than most of my other pickleball paddle boxes, and I like the fact that the company is doing something different, even creating a design patent for the paddle.

When you open the box,

I love a paddle that maintains a good spin, so I was excited to see that the box highlighted the spin front and center.

Next, I like when premium brands provide little trinkets to show their appreciation to the customer.

Here’s what Volair provided.

Next, I love grip tape, especially to add on lighter colored pickleball paddle handles. Volair provided a quality grip tape.

Lastly, Volair provided this final accessory.

The paddle also comes with a lovely paddle cover, and a beautiful paddle face.

Volair gets an A+ on unboxing experience, but let’s talk about the most important thing, playability.

Playability

The unboxing experience was awesome, but this paddle’s playability was incredible. I have played with many, many paddles, but I had never accomplished the feat of going 4-0 and beating 2 close, competitive friends in 1 day.

Thanks to the Volair Mach 2 Forza, I now have that accomplishment. Let’s talk about what I loved.

Control

I felt that this paddle had maximize control. I felt that I had control where the ball was going, and I also felt that I made less unforced errors.

I primarily play singles, so control is a huge factor for me. I found that the Volair Mach 2 Forza had control in spades.

Spin

When I opened the box, I saw the “Time to Unleash Your Spin Potential”. Right after the bat, I had high spin expectations for this paddle.

Thankfully, I was not disappointed. One of my three serves is a spin with the paddle going from right to left. A friend suggested I tried that serve based on my natural forehand. So, I used that serve almost exclusively in the match above, and it was flawless. I was able to put ample spin on the serve, making the return difficult.

Let’s talk about power.

Power

I believe the Volair Mach 2 Forza is a great all around paddle. I thought that the paddle had a great amount of power, so it felt like the swiss army knife of paddles.

It combined fantastic control and spin, while providing the power needed to get the job done.

Let’s talk about the specifications.

Finally, I am going to add this article later to my top intermediate paddles article, but before I do that, I thought it would be helpful to add the discount code (bepickleballer) that provides a $17.99 discount as you can see below.

Also, if you need an additional savings, you may be able to find a Mach 2 Forza used pickleball paddle for $130.45 in very good condition after using the discount code: bepickleballer.
