If you’re deciding between the Skechers pickleball shoes, I went ahead and bought a pair to test them out. Let me just say, these shoes are incredible.
For instance, these Sketcher shoes helped me dominate on the court today with three straight wins: 11-2, 11-0, and 11-2.
I own about five pairs of pickleball shoes, but these are easily my favorite, which are similar to how my go-to paddle is the Vatic Pro Prism Flash.
It makes sense why these shoes are the top pickleball shoes in 2025.

That said, there are multiple versions of the Viper Court series, so let’s break it down.
1. Understanding the Viper Court Shoe Lineup
When I first looked into Skechers pickleball shoes, I was confused by the different Viper Court models.

So, here’s what you need to know.
Viper Court Rally
Built for elite play, this model includes a Goodyear Gold compound outsole for enhanced durability and controlled slides on the court.
I personally chose not to go with the Rally because the Amazon reviews were better for the Smash.
Recently, I saw these selling for under $60.
Now, let’s talk performance.
Viper Court Smash
A vegan-friendly performance shoe with a smooth synthetic upper, the Smash offers a lightweight and comfortable experience for players.
These fall in the $65 to $75 price range, but I have see that the shoes can fall below $60, which I find is a steal.
Viper Court Pro
The Skechers Viper Court Pro is their top-tier court shoe.
Endorsed by professional players like Tyler McGuffin and Catherine Parenteau, the Viper Court Pro and 2.0 feature a ripstop upper with rubberized reinforcements for durability, a Goodyear rubber outsole for superior traction, and Skechers’ ArchFit system for optimal support.
These shoes are lightweight, stable, and packed with advanced tech. While the Smash and Rally models offer solid features, the Pro series is a step above.
Expect to pay around $105–$120 for these Court pro shoes.
2. My On-Court Experience
Performance is the most critical aspect of any pickleball shoe. I’ll break it down into grip, comfort, and speed.
Grip
The grip on these Skechers pickleball shoes is excellent, even for outdoor play. I play both singles and doubles, but in singles, a good grip is essential for quick lateral movements and bursts of speed.
Too much grip slows you down, while too little causes slipping. Of all my pickleball shoes, the Skechers Viper Court models strike the best balance between grip and speed.

Comfort
These Skechers shoes are extremely comfortable. Some other pickleball shoes I own have stiff edges that dig into my ankle.
Not these.
As you can see in the picture below, the materials provide maximum comfort.

Speed
With these shoes, I moved faster than I do with many of my other pairs. I believe this is due to their lightweight construction.
I also found that I could run lines much faster than with some of my other shoes.
3. Standout Features of the Viper Court Pro
What really sets these shoes apart?
a) Stylish, Comfortable Design
The Relaxed Fit upper offers roomy comfort in the toe and forefoot. Made with breathable mesh and available in sleek colorways, these shoes combine performance with style.
Plus, the 1 1/4-inch heel lift provides extra support.
b) Lightweight Cushioning and High Traction
These shoes use Ultra Flight cushioning, making them incredibly light and responsive. The Goodyear Gold compound outsole delivers fantastic grip and stability, ensuring durability and control on the court.
c) Excellent Arch Support and Custom Fit
The Skechers Viper Court Pro features an Arch Fit insole system, developed with podiatrists’ input. It molds to your foot for personalized comfort, reducing shock and improving weight distribution, which has been perfect for me for long matches without foot fatigue.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, I can’t imagine playing pickleball without the Skechers Viper Court shoes. They deliver unmatched comfort and top-tier technology.
Even better?
I didn’t get a single blister while breaking them in, which I obviously appreciate.
